Sensorial Shopping

In Knowledge Centre for Design & Business, we have developed a brand new concept that can take retail to the next level.

Today, the use of senses is limited and standardised. Consequently, we have a huge untapped potential at hand. In Knowledge Centre for Design & Business, we have released this potential in the intersection between the creative and the commercial using art to further a sensorial appeal.

Based on the individual store and its brand, we initiate a process in which the shop – the commercial – is challenged by the creative in a framework developed by Knowledge Centre for Design & Business. Our creative business partners develop exclusive experience concepts to the individual shop, which is then able to create a unique experience for its customers. A unique and sensorial expression of your particular brand. 

With our competences in retail, the use of senses, and creative process development, we aim to develop tailored solutions to the shop.

A new expression is created, which allows for dialogue between people experiencing the shop and the brand. Based on knowledge and aiming for innovative, aesthetic settings for shopping.

So far, the shops Bibi Chemnitz, Bruuns Bazaar, and Designa have gone through the Sensorial Shopping programme at Knowledge Centre for Design & Business.
